diffusion of the Spanish and English language by

Haitian Creole language education. As part of

Interesting Facts About Santillana
The Origin of Our Name
Grupo Santillana’s origins are in a famous
historical town of Spain called Santillana del
Mar. The name of the town Santillana is derived
from the two words in Spanish, Llanos Santos. In
English they translate to Elysian Fields or Holy
Fields, and in French to the recognized Champs
Elysées. In any language, the interpretation of
these two words is heaven or paradise.
