We are honored to collaborate with districts and educational sites across the country!  As part of this initiative, we are writing grant proposals for any client interested in including Santillana USA materials in a grant application to the awarded by Federal, State and Foundations' funding.

Title I

 

 Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged

 The purpose of the Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency and challenging state academic assessments.

Title II

The purpose of Title II is to improve teacher quality and increase the number of highly qualified teachers in the classroom.  Under NCLB, new standards are created for teacher qualifications.  The federal government has set forth a goal that every teacher will meet the new federal standards by 2005-2006.

Title IV

 

 21st Century Schools Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities

 The purpose of Title IV is to support programs that prevent violence in and around schools; that prevent the illegal use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs; that involve parents and communities; and that are coordinated with related federal, state, school, and community efforts and resources to foster a safe and drug-free learning environment that supports student academic achievement.

Santillana USA can assist districts and schools in establishing a Spanish Reading Club by implementing a model partnership to help prepare young children for reading and motivate older children to read through the distribution of books and library sets.  This partnership includes book fairs, reading books at schools, and providing training for volunteers.
